Zero Tolerance Policy

Ragging is a criminal offense as per the regulations of the Honorable Supreme Court of India and the University Grants Commission (UGC). Shanti Devi Jain Degree College enforces a fully ragging-free campus ecosystem.

Prohibited Actions Include:

  • Physical abuse, assault, or forcing senior-junior tasks.
  • Verbal abuse, teasing, or public embarrassment.
  • Financial extortion or forcing juniors to pay for meals/errands.
  • Psychological bullying that affects a student's mental health or confidence.

Disciplinary Penalties

Students found guilty of committing, abetting, or conspiring in ragging actions face severe disciplinary repercussions:

  • Immediate suspension from classes and academic privileges.
  • Cancellation of college admission.
  • Withholding results or scholarship payouts.
  • Filing a First Information Report (FIR) with the local police station.
